Hues Design operated for 5.5 years as a full-service product development [PD] company, meeting the ME, EE, ID, GD, and other PD needs of established OEMs and innovative startups. We worked remotely or with clients at their facilities to assist with any portion (and at any stage) of their project, from smaller supporting roles to requirements definition, architecture, ideation, and project management.

Joined the company as an equity partner. I leveraged my experience in product development in order to bring the product to market. Supported the development of an augmented reality HMD for a Bay Area startup. The company unfortunately lost funding.

Led and contributed to product development projects for notable clients including Intel, Merck-Millipore, L1 Identity Solutions, Meru Networks, and Nike.

Led multidisciplinary (EE, ID, ITC, ME, PR, RF, SSE, SWE, SE, and TE) programs through the product development process, from requirements definition, ideation, design, and prototyping, to test and volume manufacturing.

Ensured the accurate and high-quality implementation of customer’s product visions while controlling budget and schedule.

In my first year at Flex, I proposed the development of a new product, which was funded, and which I managed for our customer.

In my second year, I continued to meet or exceed operating profit targets while running roughly one-half of all project value for three quarters in a row.

Flextronics International, or Flex, is a top worldwide contract manufacturer.

Promoted to a leadership role after year one at Radius Silicon Valley [RSV], the PD arm of JABIL (2nd largest CM in the world). Led a team of 5 engineers, as well as designers, operators, and several vendors, to successfully complete the largest multidisciplinary PD project at RSV. The first of three prototypes produced by this effort are installed in a Walmart store in Fremont, California.

LandShark is a Silicon Valley-based personal transportation and mobility company.

We are developing a portfolio of personal mobility products for motorsports, hiking, leisure, and sport, as well as military, law enforcement, and firefighting.
